Candice Todd
Governance leader with experience founded on almost two decades of board structuring, board management, board presentations and enhancing corporate governance. Currently serving on a NYSE-listed company board as a financial expert and a member of the audit committee. As chairman of the board for a real estate industry group, Candice led to improve organizational and board governance by guiding the organization to create a board matrix with targeted board experience.
Candice is a member of the board of directors for NYSE: NHI and chairs the audit committee and serves on the nominating/governance committee. She is also a member of the board of directors for NYSE: HIW and also serves on the audit committee. She was recently appointed to the QuadReal Property Group board of directors and sits on the audit committee, HR committee and investment committee.
Candice was a Managing Director and Global Chief Financial Officer of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investments. In this role, she managed a platform of almost $60B portfolio including all legal regulatory compliance activities. Additionally, Candice served as a member on the portfolio team for the largest fund across Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investments (MSREIs) global real estate investing platform, comprising 95% of gross real estate assets in the U.S.
Prior to her role as Managing Director and Global Chief Financial Officer of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investments, Candice was a Managing Director and Global Chief Financial Officer of Open-End Funds (Prime Property Fund U.S., Prime Property Fund Europe, and Prime Property Fund Asia) at Morgan Stanley. Before taking on that role, she served as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Prime Property Fund at Morgan Stanley.
Candice partnered and worked closely with Legal at Lend Lease for 3-years to successfully convert the Prime Property Fund (which was established and owned by an insurance company from 1973 until the conversion) to a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in 2004. Subsequent to converting the Prime Property Fund in the U.S., Candice effectively set up the Prime Property Fund Asia and the Prime Property Fund Europe, including their independently controlled boards.
Candice earned her Master of Accountancy and a BS in Human Resources from the University of Alabama.
